CVE-2022-1319

HIGHEPSS 73th pctl
7.5
CVSS v3
NVD

Description

A flaw was found in Undertow. For an AJP 400 response, EAP 7 is improperly sending two response packets, and those packets have the reuse flag set even though JBoss EAP closes the connection. A failure occurs when the connection is reused after a 400 by CPING since it reads in the second SEND_HEADERS response packet instead of a CPONG.

Common questions

How do I fix CVE-2022-1319?

Published advisories record a fix for 133 affected products. The "How to fix" section on this page lists the fixed version and source advisory for each one, so apply the entry matching what you actually run.

Is CVE-2022-1319 being actively exploited?

Not that we know of. CVE-2022-1319 is not in the CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Its EPSS score of 1.6% is the estimated probability that it will be exploited in the next 30 days. That is higher than 73% of all scored CVEs.

How severe is CVE-2022-1319?

CVE-2022-1319 has a CVSS v3 base score of 7.5, rated high. CVSS rates the technical impact if the vulnerability is exploited, not how likely that is, so weigh it alongside the exploit-prediction score when you decide what to patch first.

What does CVE-2022-1319 affect?

Published advisories record a fix for undertow (Debian), eap7-activemq-artemis (Rocky), eap7-activemq-artemis (Red Hat / RHEL), eap7-activemq-artemis-cli (Red Hat / RHEL), and 129 more. Only products with a sourced advisory are listed, so treat this as what we can cite rather than a complete inventory.
