CVE-2026-58055

MEDIUM
5.4
CVSS v3
NVD

Description

nghttp2's nghttpx proxy through 1.69.0 forwards an HTTP/1.1 Upgrade request that also carries a Content-Length header and body onto reusable keep-alive backend connections, re-adding the Upgrade and Connection headers while passing Content-Length verbatim. A backend that resolves the resulting ambiguous message in the attacker's favor enables HTTP request/response smuggling and cross-client response-queue poisoning.

Common questions

How do I fix CVE-2026-58055?

Published advisories record a fix for 23 affected products. The "How to fix" section on this page lists the fixed version and source advisory for each one, so apply the entry matching what you actually run.

Is CVE-2026-58055 being actively exploited?

Not that we know of. CVE-2026-58055 is not in the CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Its EPSS score of 0.25% is the estimated probability that it will be exploited in the next 30 days. That is higher than 17% of all scored CVEs.

How severe is CVE-2026-58055?

CVE-2026-58055 has a CVSS v3 base score of 5.4, rated moderate. CVSS rates the technical impact if the vulnerability is exploited, not how likely that is, so weigh it alongside the exploit-prediction score when you decide what to patch first.

What does CVE-2026-58055 affect?

Published advisories record a fix for curl (Red Hat / RHEL), curl (Rocky), libnghttp2 (Rocky), libnghttp2 (Red Hat / RHEL), and 19 more. Only products with a sourced advisory are listed, so treat this as what we can cite rather than a complete inventory.
