  • CVSS 4.3 v3·EPSS 0.3%·No fix yet

An LDAP filter injection vulnerability in Zimbra Collaboration Suite (ZCS) allows an authenticated user to query otherwise unreturned attributes of calendar resources through SearchCalendarResourcesRequest. Zimbra escapes search values but inserts the supplied attribute names directly into LDAP filter expressions without validation. An attacker can inject additional conditions and use repeated matching queries to recover readable resource attributes such as internal mailbox hostnames and mail transport routes. The search remains restricted to calendar-resource objects and the LDAP service account's access rights. ZCS 10.1.16 and 10.1.21 are affected.

  • CVSS 5.3 v3·EPSS 0.2%·No fix yet

LDAP filter injection in Zimbra Collaboration Suite 10.1.0 through 10.1.21 allows unauthenticated attackers to alter external LDAP search filters. On domains using search-filter authentication and lazy provisioning, this creates a password oracle for external directory users. Authenticated S/MIME lookups can also return certificates and identity data for unintended directory entries.

Finsys Dockhand through 1.0.18 contains an LDAP injection vulnerability in the tryLdapAuth function in src/lib/server/auth.ts, which inserts the login username into the LDAP search filter without escaping wildcard characters. Unauthenticated attackers can submit incremental wildcard patterns such as 'a*' to /api/auth/login and measure response timing to enumerate valid LDAP usernames while evading per-username rate limiting.

  • CVSS 8.1 v3·EPSS 0.6%·No fix yet

LibreNMS before 26.9.0 contains an LDAP filter injection in ldap-authorization and ad-authorization modes because usernames are inserted unescaped into LDAP search filters and authentication only checks user existence. When REMOTE_USER is not forwarded, unauthenticated attackers can send a wildcard username via HTTP Basic Authorization (PHP_AUTH_USER) to match all users and groups and gain admin access.

RabbitMQ is a messaging and streaming broker. The advisory establishes affected 3.13, 4.0, 4.1, 4.2, and 4.3 maintenance lines but contains conflicting first-fixed versions for the 3.13, 4.0, and 4.1 lines. fill/2 substitutes ${username} into user_dn_pattern without RFC 4514 DN escaping, allowing a crafted username to alter the LDAP bind DN and potentially select a different directory entry. Exploitation requires rabbitmq_auth_backend_ldap with a user_dn_pattern containing ${username}, a directory layout in which the injected suffix resolves usefully, and a password valid for the resulting DN. The advisory body identifies 3.13.15, 4.0.20, 4.1.11, 4.2.9, and 4.3.3 as fixed, while structured metadata identifies 3.13.18, 4.0.23, 4.1.14, 4.2.9, and 4.3.3. Authentication bypass via LDAP injection in component sshd-ldap in Apache MINA SSHD versions 1.2.0 to 2.19.0 and 3.0.0-M1 to 3.0.0-M5. Apache MINA SSHD is a Java library for client-side and server-side SSH. The optional sshd-ldap component provides support for integrating password and publickey authentication on the server side with an LDAP server. sshd-ldap is an optional component. SSH servers implemented with Apache MINA SSHD are affected only if they use sshd-ldap and do configure it to be used for password of public key authentication. Other Apache MINA SSHD servers are not affected. Lack of escaping LDAP filter metacharacters enabled successful authentication with username "*" and password "*". Users are recommended to upgrade affected applications to version 2.2

LDAPCache and LDAPBackingEngine build LDAP search filters for user lookup and role lookup by textually substituting the placeholders %u, %dn, and %fqdn (drawn from the login name, the resolved user DN, and its fully qualified namespace form) into administrator-configured filter templates (userFilter, roleFilter). Before the fix, the only sanitization applied to the substituted value was double backslashed: filter = filter.replaceAll(Pattern.quote("%u"), Matcher.quoteReplacement(user)); filter = filter.replace("\\", "\\\\"); This does not escape the other characters RFC 4515 requires escaping in an LDAP search filter: *, (, ), and NUL. Fabric CA is a Certificate Authority for Hyperledger Fabric. Prior to 1.5.21, when fabric-ca is configured with an LDAP backend, Client.GetUser in lib/server/ldap/client.go inserts the username from HTTP Basic authentication into the LDAP uid search UserFilter without escaping LDAP metacharacters. An unauthenticated attacker with network access to the CA enrollment endpoint can alter the LDAP search before password validation and potentially steer authentication attempts toward a victim account. Deployments that do not use an LDAP backend are unaffected. This issue is fixed in version 1.5.21.

OpenBao is an open source identity-based secrets management system. Prior to 2.5.5, OpenBao used EscapeLDAPValue, an RFC 4514 distinguished-name escaping function, where RFC 4515 LDAP search-filter escaping was required in sdk/helper/ldaputil/client.go GetUserDN. With the LDAP authentication backend configured for an Active Directory UPNDomain path or UserDN and UserAttr binding, an attacker-controlled username containing filter metacharacters could alter the search predicate and select a different directory entry because EscapeLDAPValue does not neutralize the characters handled by ldap.EscapeFilter. A resulting token could be associated with another LDAP identity and gain access to secrets, policies, or modification capabilities assigned to that identity. This issue is fixed in version 2

Open Access Management (OpenAM) is an access management solution. Prior to 16.1.1, MSISDNValidation in the MSISDN authentication module concatenates the request-supplied MSISDN value into an LDAP search filter without escaping, while the default empty trusted-gateway list allows all traffic. In a realm where an MSISDN module is enabled in a reachable authentication chain, an unauthenticated remote attacker can inject LDAP filter metacharacters, select an arbitrary matching user, and obtain a normal authenticated OpenAM session without a password. This issue is fixed in version 16.1.1.

A flaw was found in Red Hat Quay's external Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) authentication handling. When an LDAP referral is returned during authentication, the system does not properly escape the username input. This allows an attacker to inject LDAP filter metacharacters, enabling user-existence oracle attacks at the referral Directory Name (DN). This could also potentially influence which DN is used for password binding in multi-domain Active Directory environments.
